Caring for Your Mirewood Sofa

Every Mirewood Halo and Valen cover is fully removable and machine-washable — built for real life with kids, pets, and the occasional spilled glass of wine. Here's how to keep your sofa looking new for years.

Washing Your Sofa Covers

All Mirewood covers come off easily and can be machine-washed at home. Follow these steps:

1. Unzip and remove the cover. Each cushion, arm, back, and frame piece has a hidden zipper.
2. Wash on cold, gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent. Do not bleach.
3. Tumble dry on low OR air dry. High heat will eventually break down the fabric.
4. Reinstall while slightly damp for the best fit — covers conform back to the cushion shape as they finish drying.

Spot-Cleaning Spills

For wine, coffee, juice, or pet accidents, blot immediately with a clean white cloth and cold water. Most stains lift before they have a chance to set. For tougher stains, use an enzyme-based pretreatment spray before machine-washing.

How Often to Wash

• Households with shedding pets or kids: every 6–8 weeks
• Light-use households: every 3–4 months
• Spot-clean spills immediately regardless of schedule

Frame Care

The kiln-dried solid hardwood frame is built to last decades. Wipe with a damp cloth as needed. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent finish fading on exposed wood elements.
