How Mirewood's Modular System Works
Most sectional sofas are one piece. You commit to a configuration at purchase and live with it forever. Mirewood's modular system is different — every piece is sold individually, snaps together with hidden steel clips, and can be reconfigured or expanded any time.
Hidden Steel Connector Clips
The Mirewood Halo and Valen use proprietary steel connector clips engineered to lock modular pieces together without bolts, screws, or visible hardware. The result: a sofa that feels solid and integrated, but can be taken apart, rearranged, or expanded in minutes.
Sold by the Piece
Start with a 2-seater sofa ($1,199 for Halo, $1,099 for Valen) and add modular pieces as your space or family grows. Individual modular pieces — middle seats, corners, and ottomans — start at $650. No need to replace the whole sofa to expand. Every piece is compatible with every other piece in the same collection.
Modular Pieces We Offer
- Halo Armchair — $674
- Middle Seats — $650 (expand width)
- Corner Pieces (left + right) — from $650 (build true L-shape sectionals)
- Ottoman / Storage Ottoman — $650 (chaise extension or standalone)
- 5-Piece Corner Sectional with Ottoman — the full setup, $2,799
Why Modular Wins Long-Term
With a traditional sectional, if one section gets damaged — say, a dog destroys an arm — you replace the entire sofa for $3,000+. With Mirewood's modular system, you replace just that piece for $650–$1,350. Over 10 years of ownership, modular pays for itself.
Same Connector System Across Collections
Halo and Valen pieces use the same standard Mirewood connector system. You can mix collections, swap pieces between sets, or expand from one to the other as your style evolves.
Easy Assembly, No Tools
Most customers assemble a Mirewood configuration in under 30 minutes (often 15 minutes for the 2-seater) with no tools required. Read more about why easy assembly matters.
